Thank you for submitting an application to study abroad. Applications will be conditionally accepted based on the availability of programs. Please reach out to the Education Abroad Office with any questions about what programs are currently available, as this may change throughout the academic year. Please consult our website for the most updated information about program availability.

CUNY currently does not require students studying abroad to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19; however, we recommend you obtain a vaccination and subsequent booster shots for your own protection and safety.

Please do not submit this form until you have selected a program. Please bear in mind that you should have alternate program selections ready as a back-up. If you have further questions about this, please ensure that you have met with the Education Abroad staff for an individual advising appointment.

Be specific in identifying your program of study and intended course of study. Once you are approved by the Education Abroad Office, you can then proceed with your application for your external program (CUNY, SUNY, USAC, CIEE, etc.).

Except for exchanges (see below), all applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and you will be notified of your application status after review. This typically takes about 5 business days.

Exchange applications are evaluated after the deadline for the applicable term (February 15 for Fall/Academic Year; September 15 for Spring). Depending on volume of applicants, students will be notified 10-15 business days after the deadline.
