ONLINE APPLICATION TO STUDY ABROAD - Summer 2023 and Fall 2023

ONLINE APPLICATION TO STUDY ABROAD - Summer 2023 and Fall 2023

Summer 2023 and Fall 2023 Applicants:

Education Abroad programs are being relaunched on a case-by-case basis. Applications will be conditionally accepted based on the availability of programs. Please reach out to the Education Abroad Office with any questions about what programs are currently available, as this will change throughout the academic year.

COVID-19 VACCINATION REQUIREMENT:
CUNY currently requires all students studying abroad to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (at least having received the initial series of vaccinations). If you have any questions about this, please contact our office at edabroad@hunter.cuny.edu. We recommend you obtain a booster shot for your own protection and safety, though it is not required.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS AND TIMELINE:
Please do not submit this form until you have selected a program. Please bear in mind that you should have alternate program selections ready as a back-up, should your first-choice program not be running in your desired term.

Be specific in identifying your program of study and intended course of study. Once you are approved by the Education Abroad Office, you can then proceed with your application for your external program (CUNY, SUNY, USAC, CIEE, etc.).

Except for exchanges (see below), all applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and you will be notified of your application status after review. This typically takes about 5 business days.

Exchange applications are evaluated after the deadline for the applicable term (February 15 for Fall/Academic Year; September 15 for Spring). Depending on volume of applicants, students will be notified 10-15 business days.

Our office collaborates closely with the Office of AccessABILITY to make sure that Hunter Students with Disabilities receive reasonable accommodations necessary to enhance their stay and experience while studying abroad. Therefore, to ensure accommodations, all students with disabilities /medical conditions are advised to meet with the Office of AccessABILITY, located in E1214, to receive a letter of accommodation which will help us to verify their need and to plan accordingly. For questions and appointments with the office of AccessABILITY, please call 212-772-4857.
