10. MARC Personal Statement:
INSTRUCTIONS: Applicants for MARC must submit a personal statement accompanying the MARC application. Please use the Upload field or type in your personal statement in the text box. The personal statement should be a Word document and contain 500 to 750 words (do not exceed 2 pages) that responds to the following:
The goal of the National MARC program is to increase the number of scientists who are from underrepresented minority groups (African-American, Hispanic American, Alaskan Natives, native American, and Pacific Islanders). Explain how your career goals and participation in the program will help the MARC program achieve its goal. Please include why are you interested in research as a career (i.e. include any past experience or exposure to research).
