This form is required for all groups that are interested in entering an License Agreement with Living@Hunter for Summer 2024. Please read the following information carefully prior to submitting.
A group Interest Form is considered a formal application for housing.
Summer Group Eligibility:
- At least 20 occupants in the group. Exceptions are made on a case by case basis
- Occupants must all be 18 years of age or older. No exceptions
- Each occupant must sign a Summer License Agreement with Hunter
- Each Program must sign a Summer Group License Agreement with Hunter
- Groups must reserve for a minimum of 30 days. Exceptions are made on a case by case basis
- Group must have their own Program Coordinator. A Program Coordinator must be present for every occupant arrival and departure. A Program Coordinator is responsible for giving out/collecting room keys/IDs and overall communication with their occupants. Program Coordinators serve as the Emergency Contact for all occupants.
- External emergency accommodations/plans for occupants in case of emergency need to vacate, illness, or any circumstance that may impact an occupants ability to stay at Brookdale.
The Programs must have a Program Coordinator or designee that must be responsible for:
(a) completing all forms and turning in all documentation at least ten [14] days prior to checking in.
(b) processing complete payment at least ten [14] days prior to checking in
(c) Connecting with the Residence Life Office and retrieving all keys prior to check-in, distributing and collecting keys to and from all participants at the beginning and end of the stay.
Filling out this form does not mean you have secured housing for your group. Please note that summer housing for groups is only available between May 31, 2024 - August 11, 2024. A member of our staff will be in contact with you shortly after your submission.

Temporary Occupancy Rates:
Group Rate for temporary occupancy for Summer 2024 at the Hunter College Residence Hall is as follows:
Location: Hunter College is offering 2024 summer housing at the Brookdale Campus:

Dates of stay: May 31, 2024– August 11, 2024 (no exceptions)
Prices: (per person, per night):
Non-Hunter Summer groups: $56.71 per person per night + $45.00 Wi-fi fee per group
Hunter Sponsored Groups: $51.36 per person per night + $45.00 Wi-fi fee per group
Accommodations:
- Rooms provided at Brookdale are non-air conditioned, single, furnished rooms. Rooms include a twin bed, mattress, dresser, desk, nightstand, and chair.
- Occupants share gender-neutral communal bathrooms, and kitchens with stove/ refrigerator/microwave/sink.
- Occupants are responsible for providing their own linens, cooking supplies, etc.
- There is one self-pay laundry room for the whole building.
- It is important to note that Hunter’s housing does not provide hotel services, and occupants are responsible for bringing in their own items and taking care of their own space.
- Brookdale has 24/7 Public Safety. Only registered occupants are allowed in and out of the building.

Please be aware that in order for your application to be considered for group pricing, the minimum number of participants must be 20.

Will all the members of your group have medical insurance, including participants traveling from abroad? We strongly encourage that they do.
Participants, or Program Coordinators on their behalf, are welcome to share medical information, such as known allergies, with the Office of Residence Life at or prior to check in or during their stay. *
Group Leader must have medical insurance information for any participant traveling from abroad.

LICENSE AGREEMENT:
All approvals for the temporary occupancy of beds at the Residence shall be memorialized in an License Agreement. All occupants assigned a bed shall be required to sign an individual agreement with established terms and conditions. Additionally, entities seeking group rates shall also be required to enter into an agreement with the College.

OCCUPANCY PROCEDURES:
Occupancy procedures shall be established to communicate expectations on prospective residents. The procedures should include such matters as, but not limited to check In/Out, contact persons, emergencies, etc.
The program is in charge of any room damages and missing keys after check out.

PAYMENT INFORMATION:
Group must stay a minimum of 30 days or more. Multiple floors can be requested based on availability.
Group rates as indicated in the Temporary Occupancy Rates above are based on a per person, per night rate.
- Payment is due in full 14 business days prior to group arrival
- Methods of Payment: Certified Check or Money Order
- The sponsoring Program is in charge of any damages or lost keys upon check out
- Cost of WiFi: $45 per group for entire stay is automatically added to the total

SUMMER GROUP RESTRICTIONS:
- Occupants may not bring in any visitors
- The Brookdale Campus is an alcohol and drug free space regardless of age. The Campus has active Public Safety that will address violations of this. Any alcohol/drug related violations will jeopardize the occupants ability to stay
- Occupants must show ID every time they enter the building. If occupants are under the influence when entering, it is up to the discretion of Public Safety to not allow them into the building for safety concerns, and EMT will be contacted.
- Occupants are responsible for their assigned space and must remove all their items upon leaving
- Program Coordinators are responsible for the behavior of the group occupants
- In order to reside at any Living@Hunter housing option during any period, all residents must follow the Personal and Community Conduct policies set forth by CUNY. The Living at Hunter handbook outlines all the policies and regulations of the Residence Hall, and can be found at:
